Clam on a Half Shell was specifically designed for Puffers, Triggers, and other fish who need to grind their teeth to keep them from getting too large. The clam meat is packed with amino-acids, protein, and omega-3 fatty acids which makes it a great food source for all different types of fish. The top of the shell has been removed for easy feeding and virtually no mess.

Clams are a staple diet to many fresh and saltwater fish. Naturally clams have a protective shell to help keep them safe from preditors which seak their highly nutritious meat. Hikari offers clams with half the shell removed to make feeding as simple as dropping the shell into your tank which will sink to the bottom, and then your fish will naturally graze of the clam meat. The meat can also be removed very easly if you do not wish to retreive the shell out of your tank after feeding has comensed.

Feeding Suggestions:
Feed only as much as your fish will consume in a 20 minute period no more than 2 times per week. For fish that have ever growing teeth like Triggers, and Puffers it is best to feed with the shell atached to the meat to allow the fish to grind their teeth on the shell as they consume the meat.
